Gums bleeding??

I'm wondering what the result of my gums bleeding when I brush my teeth. It doesn't just happen every once in a while, it's every time I brush. Could it be that I just have sensitive gums and need to use a soft bristled tooth brush or could it be something else?? And should I be concerned about this?? I never had anything wrong with my teeth or gums when I went to the dentist before, so I don't know what the problem could be. This is a problem that I have had for years now but never thought anything of it until now.

Gums bleeding??
I had this too, then I went and got my teeth cleaned at the dentist and all was good again.

Bleeding from the gums is mainly due to inadequate plaque removal from the teeth at the gum line. This will lead to a condition called gingivitis , or inflamed gums. If plaque is not removed through regular brushing and dental appointments, it will harden into what is known as tartar. Ultimately, this will lead to increased bleeding and a more advanced form of gum and jawbone disease known as periodontitis .
Reply:See a dentist ASAP.
Reply:its probably just sensitive gums but you should ask your dentist
Reply:Well, some women tend to have more sensitive gums at certain points in their cycle (ovulating, or right before their period.)

Do you floss? Flossing helps a lot with the health of your gums. I keep my floss by the computer so I do it when I'm bored online.
Reply:that usually happens when you havent brushed your teeth in a while then go back to brushing. you have to ignore it then it will go away if you brush your teeth regulary.
Reply:Well My Gums Do The Same Thing And It's Not Sensitivity It MEans Your Gums Are Getting HEalthy.
Reply:This could be a symptom of gum disease. Ask your dentist pronto!
Reply:did you happen to get a new toothbursh lately.

my gums bleed when i haven't been brushing my teeth very well for a while and then i brush with a very good/new/electric toothbrush and they bleed. you probably have sensitive gums. if you brush them everyday for a week VERY well, then by the end of the week they should stop bleeding. if they don't see a dentist, but its not something you should be worried about.
Reply:take Vitamin C
Reply:gums bleeding is not normal, could be hormonal changes. If you don't floss, you need to. You may need a deep cleaning from your professional DDS.
Reply:Probably Gingivitis, I have the same problem. You can try using a softer bristled tooth brush and/or sensitive toothpaste (Sensodyne is great). I would definately talk to your dentist about it as soon as possible, as there are other ways to help cure the problem that I don't remember off hand.
Reply:That usually happens when you havent brushed in a while then you start again. Be consistent on your brushing.
Reply:you either do one of the follwoing

1 brush to hard

2 brush to fast

3 dont brush to much

4 or brushed the part that bleeds if u poke it

you should also go see a dentist he os she will give you a medician it should help

your gums are proboly pink and puffy
Reply:I would say that you shouldn't loose sleep over it, but you should make a call to your dentist. You may need to see a Periodonitst. They specialize in gums. I would try using a soft brisle brush for awhile, and make sure your rinse your mouth with some warm water and perioxide. It will help for any infection.

Good luck!
Reply:its call gingivitis. You need to FLOSS your teeth everyday before or after brushing. After you floss daily for about a week it should stop bleeding (and you must continue flossing daily). Healthy gums DO NOT bleed. Bleeding means you have bacteria build up below your gum line and you have gingivitis. Gingivitis can lead to periodontitis (bone loss. which can lead to loosing teeth after severe bone loss).
