Gums growing over wire butterfly?

I have a wire butterfly, and my gums are growing over one wire curve of the wire butterfly. How do I free the wire? I don't want them to yank out the butterfly and part of my gums. How do I make the gums recede so that they don't grow over the wire curve of the butterfly?

Reply:How long has it been since you have been to the dentist to have the appliance checked? You do need to be seen in the office to check what is happening. It is possible for the gun to grow over the wire. You need to have it checked to make sure this doesn't happen. Brush and floss as well as possible to try to get your gums healthier. This may help.
