It's a small piece of nail that I can't remove no matter how much a gargle, floss or brush. It's very annoying. Obviously I need to see a dentist but what I can do to remove this nail by myself first?
I bite my nails and a piece of nail is stuck in my gums. I will see a dentist but how can i remove it myself?
Take a piece of floss and tie a single knot in it, slip the floss in and glide it through as you normally would letting the knot slip under the tissue dragging the foreign material out. You may have to do it a few times but it will catch it eventually. This is what we do before we break out instruments to do it with.
Reply:Use a pair of tweezers if it is where you can get to it.
