I had my two front teeth out 3weeks ago but my gum is still very tender to touch?

the dentist said i had dry socket with abit of a abcess the stuff they put in it has sorted the dry socket out but the dentist said the stuff they had put in my gums would sort my abcess out too but it is still very tender to touch but not painful but could it be reaction to the injections as the lump in my mouth where the injections were givin are so tender still after 3 weeks.....what could be wrong with me...

i had my 4 front teeth out and a partial denture put in, my gums were very sore and tender for quite a number of weeks after this, if your concerned about an infection just ring up the dentist for a quick appointment to ask him to check it out for you and put your mind at ease, also you could check on this website, its for dental phobics but it has lots of useful info on it.

Reply:i would go to a diffrent doctor for a second look. some may get focused on one cause and not look at the other posiblitys. go have a second look with somone else, they should be able to help you out a little more!
Reply:Trust your dentist..time and antibiotics will probably work. Gums can take a little time to heal. Just keep in touch with your dentist.

Reply:your mouth is just slow to heal rinse it out with hot salt water a couple of times a day
