I have noticed a few months ago that one of my front teeth didnt look right, the gum looked like it had come away from the tooth. I ignored it and just thought it was always like it. I have always had problems with my wisdom teeth and only recently had 2 taken out so i just ignored it as i didnt want 2 go through any more bother with my teeth. Over the last week my gums have got worse they are really coming away from my teeth, especially the gum at the back of my 2 front teeth, i no it kind of notices now and im worried what people will think. My gums are all puffy and swelled up and i never had no pain now but i am in so much pain with the swellled up gums. Does anyone know how to cure this? I just want something 2 make my gums grow back i dont actually think they will grown back as i have done some research. I have a dentist appointment on tuesday but im really worried now. Has anyone eles has receding gums?
I have receding gums and puffy gums. Is there anything that i can use that doesnt cost loads of money?
receding gums is serious, the best thing to do is to get to the dentist as soon as possible to avoid teeth to be falling out. you need to have a good program of oral hygiene every after meal.
foods particles that is left and usually clings to the teeth are the source of bacteria to cause receding gums. it is a must to floss and brush teeth after meal to remove plaque and tartar. practice oral care would also be a great help like proper brushing and careful flossing.
use an all natural oral care product as a part of good oral hygiene to fight the cause of gum infections. visit http://www.themouthdoctor.com for more bad breath care tips.
Reply:no
Reply:go to the dentist- $70, and he'll probably tell you your gums won't grow back. If you start flossing, it will help prevent further damage, and research gingivitis.
Reply:Brush and floss after each meal.
Reply:Hi,in the morning go %26amp; see your doctor you might have an infection.Brushing your teeth will help to improve your gums.I am sure your in too much pain to clean them so get to the doctors for antibiotics.Good Luck
Reply:As a temporary measure to reduce the inflamation. A glass of warm water with a teaspoon of salt in it. Swish round your mouth and gums, holding it in there for ten seconds, then spit it out, repeat this till you finish the glass. Do this two or three times a day. When your gums are puffy, the swelling is pulling the gum away from your teeth, when the swelling goes down the gums should go back down too. Good luck on Tuesday
Reply:Good thing you made a dentist appointment as it sounds like you have gingivitis. Not sure of much you can do at home to make it better. At this point home treatments are going to just help "keep it in check". I know this will hurt like a bizow but flossing and listerine are your best until you see the dentist. They will most likely take care of things for you and have some other options. Not sure how cost effective they will be though.
Gingivitis can become very serious!! It leads to periodontal disease which can sometimes actually lead to bacterial infection of the heart (endocarditis). Hopefully since you caught things early, you will be okay.
I have some gingivitisy issues in just one area of my mouth. My two bottom teeth are way too close together. It is nearly impossible to get floss between them. I floss and use listerine and that has kept it in check for the last couple of years.
Good luck...hopefully the dentist has some good ideas for you.
Reply:it sounds like gingivitis which can lead to tooth loss. it can help to use listeren mouth wash to kill the bacteria but, your dentis is the best answer.
Reply:Also get your self checked for Diabetes.... Receding puffy gums is one of the signs of diabetes....
Reply:Your gums will never grow back to their original length. I would venture an uneducated guess and say that you have a severe case of gingivitis. It is caused by plaque beneath the gum line, which causes gum puffiness and bleeding when the teeth are brushed. You may try flossing, but I really don't believe that it will help much. What you really need is a good deep under gum cleaning performed by a dentist.
Reply:It sounds like you have peridontal disease.
For now, rinse your mouth out several times a day with warm very salty water. Use a couple of teaspoons of salt in a cup with as warm of water as you can comfortably put in your mouth. Stir until the salt looks mostly disolved in the water. Swish it around in your mouth and spit it out, don't drink it. It should make your gums feel better in a day or two. Then go to the dentist and get your teeth cleaned. Don't let it go or you will lose your teeth.
Reply:try using a mouth wash after you brush your teeth but make sure its 4 gum disease even if its not gum disease the stuff in the mounth wash normally help with swellowing
Reply:it sounds like very bad gingivitis. You need to start flossing regularly and washing your mouth out with mouthwash. You might have to break down and get a more expensive toothbrush (sonicare, etc.) as they can sometimes help to clean more effectively than a regular toothbrush. Your gums probably wont grow back, but you can help stop it with some excellent oral hygiene.
