i had apples yesterday... and i dont know if my gums are itchy because of this... or is it just common to have itchy gums out of no where?
My gums are itchy?
Hello, While many will think you just came up with a kooky question for attention, the fact is there are many many people who have varying nerve ending responses to a number of oral situations. Example: Some people experience a burning sensation to their gums and tongue after eating foods with high acidity content such as Tomato's. Other people may have an oral sensitivity issue because of a medication they take and others may find their gums and cheeks become not only itchy but tender and at times feeling a burning sensation. This can be the residual affect of having gone through a case of either Chicken Pox or Shingles, in which both come from the same type of virus. I'm speaking of course about either of those issues occurring in the mouth as well as other body areas. Unlike Chicken Pox however, the residual affects from Shingles can be an intermittent occurring issue for the rest of a persons life. At any rate, the kind of feeling you have identified regarding your gum tissue is a neurological response to some type of stimulant created by medication, food or viral attack. If it doesn't go away with in three to four day's you need to see your medical doctor.
