Swollen and sore gums?

my teeth are in good condition but i have extra sensitive gums, it runs in the family, what can i use to stop the pain and redness, without going to the denist and spending a fortune sometimes my gums bleed when i brush, sounds like gum diaease, but i have heard that that can be treated sucessfully.

Swollen and sore gums?
gum problems are always normally linked to not flossing....food between the teeth and under the gums causes infection (swelling and bleeding). try flossing at least once a day and warm salt water rinses 3-4 times a day until the bleeding and swelling subsides. continue with the flossing afterwards though, daily. good luck
Reply:try to eat fruits that rich in vit. c like pineapple or

oranges.. oral antiseptic can also help.
Reply:I have that problem. you should try sensodyne toothpaste, and use crest mouth wash i have the new kind and its great i just cant think of the name of it. it does the same thing listerine does but doesnt taste as bad. but also if sometimes u rinsed your mouth out with warm salt water it is good for your gums.good luck.
Reply:Sound like you need some Listerine for gingivitis and you Sentsodine for toothpaste
Reply:White Willow Bark (from the herb store) is very good for your gums but don't skip the dentist if you haven't seen him in a while because plaque builds up on your teeth and can cut your gums when you brush. Also, gum disease can be successfully treated with herbs but first, get rid of the plaque.
