I went to the dentist last friday and ever since, a certain part of my gums and my tongue are sore. Its like an area connecting the two but I think it is more on my gums
Could it be from the dentist? I had some cavities done in that area...
Well my main question is, is there a way to make it go away faster? Its not completely big or anything... just really irritating
My gums are sore next to my tongue?
Having cavities drilled can hurt for a while, so that's probably why. The pain can spread to other areas of the face, too. Some Advil or Ibuprofen might help the pain go away faster.

Reply:Are the gums sore around the teeth you had filled? The pain is probably from the shots you had to numb your mouth. I have this problem a lot especially if they have a large cavity to fill or I can't get numb and it requires extra injections. It goes away after a while. Same goes for the tongue. IF they numbed up the bottom of your mouth, it can be a little tender. Could have bitten your tongue while numb too. I have done that and it hurts for a while. Hope you feel better!
