My gums won't heal?

okay so like i poked my gums on accident about 5 days ago. it hurt alot but i figured it would just heal. It's been a while and its still red, not white but lighter than the gum area around it, and doesn't hurt too much unless its touched. is this normal because its been about 5 days

What exactly did you poke your gums with? I would recommend seeing a dentist or perhaps it's an infection. Your mouth has a lot of bacteria and it's possibly preventing it to heal.
Reply:Gargle with peroxide. It will foam out the infection. Also use aloe vera juice jell - it will heal the open cut. Buy at health food store in the liquid form.

It sounds like it's healing just fine. Mouth sores are always super sensitive and don't heal quickly because they're in a moist environment. Be sure to keep your mouth clean, especially rince with mouthwash a few times a day.





I think you'll know if there's a real problem. Good luck and stop poking at your gums!
Reply:Keep your mouth really clean, rinse with warm salt water and use a Listerine type mouthwash a couple of time a day.
