Gums hurt,just had wisdom tooth out 2 weeks ago?

my gums hurt in the front and there red but i just had a wisdom tooth taken out 2 weeks ago....can anyone help with this,im going into the dentist next week to get the gums checked out but i was wondering if i could get an answer right now on what it could be...im thinking infection

well it is an infection...If it hurts really really bad than you have dry socket..dry socket feels like an intense pain..you would know it you have it...otherwise if it just hurt..that you have an infection...you are very smart for making an appointment...maybe if it hurts alot you should call in for an emergency appointment they will see you right away..just call as soon as they open...good luck

I had my wisdom teeth pulled and I couldn't eat for a week and it hurt for two weeks afterwards...so maybe you're just a little bit sensitive? I couldn't take the hydrocodeine they gave me because I reacted to it...
Reply:Just go to the dentist for goodness sakes and stop wasting peoples time.
Reply:Gargle, but don't swallow some hydrogen peroxide. It works. I've done it for my own wisdom teeth.
Reply:it probably is an infection. Brush really well your teeth after each drink or meal, don't eat grease or hard food , and call your dentist because if it is infected, the sooner you get treated the better.
