Shots in the gums?

I'm going to get a shot in the gums (bottom row) and they're going to cut up my gums because my permanent tooth won't come in. So anyway, my question is, is it more painful to get a shot the the gums in the bottom row? and on a scale from 1-10, 10 being like child birth, how bad does it hurt?

You will feel a slight stinging sensation, but it is very bearable. I would say about a 1.

Reply:Its more pressure than pain. Granted its a lot of pressure, but its not that bad.
Reply:It's not bad. The first stick is over in a second. They get better because they gave you something to numb it.

Reply:You know, it depends. cause when I got my braces (yup, ima geek) she placed something on my gums so it wouldnt hurt.anyway, when we'll rate it, for me about 2. the pain is kinda weak.
Reply:It's definitely unbearably painful to get the shot. When I had mine done when I was younger, I thought I was going through hell. I'd have to say 11.
